The story behind our logo

In 2003 children were asked to design a logo for the holiday scheme. Ann Pert said that the winner turned out to be a 13-year-old girl from Paisley: “The girl’s designed our initials: GCHS. The G is her school tie which she takes off the C is a castle; The S is for the sea, but it’s also green for the countryside;  the H had a train going through a tunnel to a Host family by the sea (the blue wavy lines). So she would take off her tie, get on the train and leave her worries behind.”
